Shirley’s career in digital marketing started during her college years when she worked as the Student Assistant Lead and Social Media Manager for the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Office of Student Success. She also worked as a Marketing and Communications Intern at Region One Education Service Center and as a Brand Ambassador for a social networking app. She joined our team as a Client Success Coordinator in early 2024 and is a key part of our Client Support and Success Team.
Shirley was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas, and still enjoys living in her hometown, especially watching it grow and evolve each day. She enjoys traveling and has visited California, Florida, Las Vegas, New York, and Chicago. During the COVID-19 quarantine, Shirley’s parents’ piñata business was forced to close its doors. With the business in jeopardy, Shirley started experimenting with posting online for the business. Soon, they had sold all of their piñatas, and Shirley had discovered her love of digital marketing.
When not hard at work ensuring the ongoing success of our clients, Shirley spends much of her downtime working as a social media community leader, building an audience based on her unique insights on fashion, travel, and the Rio Grande Valley. Outside the digital realm, Shirley enjoys working out and reading, with a passion for traveling and exploring new places, particularly new coffee shops! She finds joy spending time with her three pets, Vanish, Art, and Raiden.
