José started his career in technical development with a position as a Web Developer for a small Venezuelan startup called Softmedia VE for two years. He later moved on to a Web Developer position with banking firm Prisma Meios de Pago S.A. for another two years, before becoming a freelance web developer, which he has done for the past six years. In late 2024, José joined our team as a web developer, and he does great work striving to make our clients’ visions a reality using the extensive knowledge and skills at his disposal.
José was born and raised in Venezuela, but Argentina is his second homeland. As a kid, he enjoyed playing soccer, and it was from that hobby that he got his competitive drive. That drive has gone on to impact both his career and the things he does in his off hours. Throughout José’s life, he’s gotten the chance to live in three different countries: Venezuela, Chile, and now Argentina. Through his time living in different countries, he broadened his vision of different cultures and societies.
In his own words, José is a bit of a “nerd gym rat”. When not hard at work developing exceptional sites for our clients, José spends most of his time either going to the gym or playing video games. His favorite genres are probably role-playing games (RPGs), fighting games, and racing games, but he really likes a bit of everything. What he enjoys most about working out and gaming is overcoming challenges and surpassing his limits.
“I work in digital marketing because it’s a great area to grow my skills as a developer in a new and interesting way. I didn't know much about marketing until joining Cobalt, so I'm enjoying the process a lot. I really like trying to improve things and adding new ideas to the mix, trying to make our products more appealing and visually striking.”
